Whiners and stodgy old people often say there’s no romance left in the world today. This is false.

Sure, technology has changed the way people communicate, but not what they communicate. For proof, simply consider popular music. It reflects the state of the culture.

So what was on the hearts and minds of little girls around the world back in the good old days when romance was supposedly “still” alive?

Young ladies have always been super needy and insecure, so they live in constant fear of kissing someone who doesn’t like them enough to get married. This uncertainty manifests itself in the form of shitty whining and loaded questions.
