AUDIO DOWNLOAD: Arctic Monkeys live at Joe Louis Arena, Detroit - March 03, 2012

The Boss just sent me something really cool (I don’t know why he wants me to take all the credit for this stuff, but I’m not gonna argue).  Check out this bootleg from the  Detroit stop in the Black Keys/Arctic Monkeys tour. Full set is in there, including the first ever live performance of R U MINE.  Not sure what else there is to say, really.

Setlist:

  • Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair
  • Teddy Picker
  • Crying Lightning
  • Fluorescent Adolescent
  • Brianstorm
  • The View From The Afternoon
  • I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor
  • Suck It And See
  • Library Pictures
  • Evil Twin
  • R U Mine
  • Brick By Brick
  • This House Is A Circus
  • Still Take You Home
  • When The Sun Goes Down

DOWNLOAD the full bootleg

(photos and setlist shamelessly stolen from FYAM)

EPIC DOWNLOAD TIME!
Yes, it’s 6GB and in 100 parts, but trust me this is so f-king worth it. My dear dear friend The Boss has uploaded the entire set from Arctic Monkeys performance at Rock En Seine 2011 in FULL HD.
As in not the fake bootleg YouTube style HD. real ass HD. and the shots are awesome. the gif-makers will have a field day.

and click here to visit Arctic Monkeys France - the true heart and soul of this whole damn “fandom”
(if you don’t have the resources or internet power to download something this big, stay patient. i think we’ll figure out a way to get a lower quality version onto youtube or something)

Can you link us to a good download of songs that were never recorded but played live?
Anonymous

There are only three unreleased songs - I don’t count the early demos. YouTube links:

  1. Sandtrap
  2. Wagon On The Way To Stripey Tent (Instrumental Sandtrap)
  3. Put Me In A Terror Pocket  - starts at 3:50

DOWNLOADS:

it should be noted that these songs were actually recorded, just not released. here’s how nobodytoldme (pretty much the authority on this kind of stuff) explains it:

Posted 16 October 2011 - 04:12 PM

Talking about James Ford. For those who don’t know: both songs were indeed recorded with him in a January 2008 session in London. I asked him personally about this in the Last Shadow Puppets days. Was relieved to hear that there is indeed a proper recorded version of those songs with the spiky FWN-era Turner voice somewhere locked in a vault, in the way you want to hear those songs. Ford also said to me something among the lines that the band just didn’t have the time to record and release the songs in time before the end of the FWN album ‘cycle’, and that he couldn’t see any way how they would release those songs among the new yet to be recorded new album material at the time (late 2008 “Humbug” sessions).

We heard the songs live when the band was in their prime in 2007. Been there, done that. They have plenty of worthwhile new stuff. This band is all about making progression with every step they are taking, and never looking back.

and of course there’s a forum topic dedicated to Unreleased Songs if you want to get deeper into the lore.  most people don’t seem to care, but whatever. i must have lore.

hey blake is there any good miles kane bootlegs of late? preferably with his new tune. thanks in advance. - david

There couldn’t be much done with the original Q Radio broadcast, with every song cross-fading into the next one. Therefore lots of missing last chords and edited intros. Though I made an attempt to straighten out the hack job on the transition of the first 3 songs, which were originally broadcasted in random order, hope you like it.

It started with this post by AMUS. We’ve since been collecting as many Alex Turner Reaction Gifs as we can get our hands on! I defined an Alex Turner Reaction Gif as any animation of his stupid face that could be used as a response to something. Now, the collection is my Christmas gift to you!

Thanks to the following amazing contributors:

And of course, myself.

Very pleased to be able to bring you this recording on Humbug’s birthday.  Massive thanks go to Ryan Hodel for doing such an incredible job with it. Check out Ryan’s YouTube Channel for (brilliant) HD video of this show.  Be sure to subscribe as well… if ya like him, tell him ya like him!
